Realising the true value of R&D requires moving beyond citations and patents to deliver tangible, long-term societal outcomes. In this seminar, Aparna Gupta will explore how research ecosystems can operate as a collaborative "team sport," uniting fundamental, use-inspired, and translational researchers in agile, multi-dimensional alignment. Examining strategic frameworks of Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), the session will highlight key pathways in capacity building, industry collaboration, and AI-enabled democratisation (such as SARAL AI) to show how programmatic guidance can steer research breakthroughs toward national self-reliance and economic growth.
